Charlie Kirk Assassinated

I can’t believe I’m even typing this. Charlie Kirk is dead. Shot while talking to students at Utah Valley University this afternoon.

I’ve seen the videos, I’ve seen the reporting like everyone else, and it’s sickening.

The man wasn’t doing anything other than what he’s always done: showing up, speaking truth, challenging kids to think for

themselves. For that, he was assassinated.

The details are still coming out, but here’s what we know:

  • Just after noon, Charlie was speaking at one of his “Prove Me Wrong” events on campus when a shot rang out.

  • It hit him in the neck. Panic tore through the crowd. He was rushed to the hospital.

  • Hours later, it was confirmed he didn’t survive. Thirty-one years old. Gone.

President Donald J. Trump has already spoken publicly, mourning him as a “great and legendary” American and offering condolences to Erika and the kids. Leaders across the aisle are weighing in, condemning the violence. But here’s the reality: none of the statements, none of the press releases bring him back.

Charlie was a fighter. He built a movement from scratch that made an entire generation of young conservatives feel like they had a place, a voice, and a leader who got them. Agree with him or not, he mattered. And now, he’s been silenced in the most brutal way possible.

This one hits hard. It’s not just another headline. It’s a human being who believed in what he was doing, who put himself out there, and who paid the ultimate price for it.

Rest in peace, Charlie.
